PEP HIV (Post-Exposure) Treatment
PEP HIV Exposure
Effective Treatment Against an HIV Infection in PA
If you’ve recently been exposed to HIV, acting quickly can make all the difference. PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis) is a proven treatment that can help prevent HIV infection when started within 72 hours of exposure. Designed for HIV-negative individuals, Novus’ PEP offers a vital opportunity to protect your health after a potential risk in Eastern PA. Be sure to mention your possible exposure so we can prioritize your care.
Doxy PEP (Doxycycline)
Doxycycline (or "doxy" for short) is a common antibiotic. Recent research shows that taking doxycycline within 3 days (or 72 hours) after sex can help some people reduce the chances of getting syphilis, chlamydia, and, in some studies, gonorrhea. This prevention strategy is called doxy PEP. Doxy PEP does not prevent other common STIs, like HIV, mpox, or herpes. If you've had an exposure or are interested in learning more, mention it to one of our providers at your appointment.
We’re here to support you every step of the way.
Time is critical, so don’t wait—reach out to us immediately to schedule an urgent appointment with one of our compassionate PA providers.
